REGULATIONS
of the AMATEUR INTERNATIONAL
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
TOURNAMENT
“BOBRIKOV OPEN 2011”
1.Purpose and Objectives
1.1.Beach Volleyball tournament “BOBRIKOV OPEN 2011” (hereafter the Tournament) is conducted for the popularization of beach volleyball in Russia and abroad, improvement of sportsmen level, attraction of youths and veterans for playing beach volleyball, communication and cohesiveness of volleyball players.
1.2.A handicap system is used for the stimulation of players of different level to equal maximally chances of the amateur, veteran, professional, beginner and raise staginess.
1.3. For volleyball teams regulations is the fundamental document and invitation .
2.The place and terms of the Tournament conduction

2.2.Terms: 2 May-6 May 2011:
2.2.1.1 May:
-The arrival, technical meeting, acquaintance;
2.2.2.2 May:
10 a.m
-Man teams qualification
-Children tournament (up to 14 years old included) «The Star of the tournament»
3 p.m
-Opening ceremony of the «BOBRIKOV OPEN 2011»
-Competition at the «MIXED» category
2.2.3.3 May:
10 a.m
-Continuation of competition at the «MIXED» category
-Continuation of the children tourmament (up to 14 years old included) «The Star of the tournament»
3 p.m
-Start of the "Main", "Consolatory" man and the "Main" woman tournaments
2.2.4.4 May:
10 a.m
-Continuation of the games
-Start of the "Dynasty" tournament
2.2.5.5 May:
10 a.m
-Competition at the "BEACH VOLLEYBALL 4x4" category
-Woman's tournament "The queen of the beach"
-Start of "the Main" child's tournament
2.2.6.6 May:
10 a.m
-Semifinals and finals of all categories
8 p.m
-Awarding. The tournament closing ceremony. Foto, video review, farewell party, disco.
2.2.7.7 May:
Departure.

3. Management of the Tournament
3.1.General management of the Tournament is performed by the National Beach volleyball League “SportBeach” (hereafter the Organizer).
3.2.Unmediated conduction of competitions is imposed on the Organizer.
4.Teams lineup
4.1.Teams lineup is 2 players.
4.1.1. For the 4x4 tournament – 4 people (in case of lack of players- 3 people on the court)
5. Filing of an application
5.1.Send an application and confirm the participation is necessary till 15 April 2011. The application is sent in strictly determined form. Participant, being without partner can send the application individually (organizer will help to form the team). In case of timeless sending of application, providing with competition form is not guaranteeed by Organizer.
5.2.In application is necessarily to specify country and city of residence and one of the category, represented below:
5.2.1. Prof:
-participant of the world series and elimination trials (2004-2011)
- participant of the beach volleyball country championship with rating from 1 and higher (2008-2011)
5.2.2 Semipro:
-participant of the classic volleyball country championship (2008-2011).
-participant of the beach volleyball country championship (2008-2011) with rating equal to zero (0).
-player with rating from 1 and higher, participated in next competitions of a season (2008-2011):
> in Moscow, St. Petersburg championship
> in a regional, boundary, local championship
> in a similar other countries competitions.
5.3.3. Amateur:
-a player, experienced in beach volleyball, but not suiting to the Prof and Semipro categories.
5.3.4.Veteran 40+ men (before 1971 year of birth) and Veteran 35+ women (before 1976 year of birth). Except for players with rating from 1 and higher, participated in a next season competitions (2009-2010):
-in a country championship
-in Moscow, St. Petersburg championship
-in a regional, boundary, local championship
-in a similar other countries competitions
These players are equated with Amateur category.
5.3.5. Superveteran 50+ men (before 1961 year of birth) and Superveteran 40+ woman (before 1971 year of birth). Except for players with rating from 1 and higher, participated in a next season competitions (2009-2010):
-in a country championship
-in Moscow, St. Petersburg championship
-in a regional, boundary, local championship
-in a similar other countries competitions
These players are equated with Veteran 40+ category.
5.3.6. Beginner:
-participants, not experienced in beach volleyball, not participated in any official beach and classic volleyball competitions and not finished any sport school of volleyball.
5.3.7. Children:
-Age is limited up to 14 years old included (1997 year of birth and younger).
5.4. In case of the evident play level discrepancy from earlier appropriated category, the organizing committee during the tournament reserves the right to change the player’s category.
6.Participants providing
6.1. Competitions are conducted on the beach. Participants will be provided with courts, agreeable to the normative standards. The results, foto and video of competitions will be published on the official web site of the Organizer: https://www.sportbeach.ru/ and on the web sites of our partners.
7. Requirements to the competitions participants and technical regulations
7.1. Everybody can participate in competitions. Age and level of play are not restricted.
7.2. Participants living arrangements in Club Kastalia hotel.

7.3. All participants must to attend the games and opening/closing ceremony in sports shirt /top of this Tournament.
7.4. The system of the Tournament conduction will depend on amount of announced teams.
7.5. Refereeing is provided by the Tournament participants themselves. The team, won in the previous meeting must to referee the next team on the same court, be responsible for playing ball and inform the arbiter about result of the match. In case of disregard of this rule, arbiter has a right to annul the result of the last meeting of the referee-player team.
7.6. Technical regulations of the Tournament conduction are determined by the FIVB regulations.
8. Assigning of rating points for each participations category
8.1. Prof- 0 points
8.2. Semipro- 3 points
8.3. Amateur- 5 points
8.4. Veteran 40+ men (before 1971 year of birth) and Veteran 35+ women (before 1976 year of birth)- 6 points
8.5. Superveteran 50+ men (before 1961 year of birth) and Superveteran 40+ woman (before 1971 year of birth)- 7 points
8.6. Beginner (the age is not limited)- 8 points
8.7. Children up to 14 years old (before 1996 year of birth). Girls and boys must to play at one set.

8.8. Calculation of rating points (handicap) of the meeting teams:
8.8.1. Handicap=Rating of a team «A» - Rating of a team «B», where the team Rating = Rating of a player + Rating of a player.
8.8.2. Note: for all 15 points parties handicap is calculated by the formula: handicap (15 points parties) = handicap (21 points parties) * 2/3, rounded to integral units.
Calculation:
Pattern №1:
Game of 21 points.
The team «A» consists of the players with different rating (Prof and Semiprof) 0 and 3 = 3
The team «B» also consists of the players with different rating (Amateur and Superveteran) 5 and 7=12
As the result, team «B» handicap is 9 points as regard to the first, that means each party will start from the score 9:0, the third short party 6:0 in favor of the team «B».
Pattern №2:
Game of 21 points.
The team «A» consists of the players with rating 0(both are Profs)
The team «B» consists of the players with rating 7 and 7=14 (both are Superveterans)
As the result, team «B» handicap is 14 points as regard to the team «A» and the first 2 parties will start from the score 14:0 and the third short party from the score 9:0 (see the note of paragraph 7.7.).
Pattern №3
If the game of 15 points!!!!
The team «A» consists of the players with rating 10 (both are Amateurs)
The team «B» consists of the players with rating 16 (both are Beginners)
As the result, team «B» handicap is 4 points (16-10=6*2/3= 4) as regard to the team «A» and all parties will start from the score 4:0.
Note: for the 15 points party maximally allowable handicap is 10 points.
9.Prize fund and participants awarding
9.1. Prize fund of the tournament is 15 000 euro.
9.2. Each participant of the tournament is provided with official professional shirt (tank top) with the partners and sponsors logotypes.
9.3. Winners and medallists are rewarded with cups, medals and prize money.
9.4. The main man tournament.
Prize fund is 5600 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place - 2 000 euro
2 place - 1 000 euro
3 place - 800 euro
4 place - 500 euro
5 place - 300 euro
6 place - 300 euro
7 place - 150 euro
8 place - 150 euro
9-12 place – 100 euro
*9.5. The woman competitions.
Prize fund is 3200 euro + memorable rewards.

2 place - 600 euro
3 place - 400 euro
4 place - 300 euro
5 place - 200 euro
6 place - 200 euro
7 place - 150 euro
8 place - 150 euro

* The Organizer reserves the right to change the prize fund of this category in case of the number of teams fewer than 12.
9.6. Man consolatory tournament.
Prize fund is 1700 euro + memorable rewards.

5 place –100 euro

9.7. Competitions at the category «the Main Mixed».
Prize fund is 1800 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place – 800 euro

9.8. Competitions at the category «Family dynasty».
Prize fund is 200 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place – 100 euro
2 place – 50 euro
3 place – 30 euro
4 place – 20 euro
9.9. Competitions at the category «Beach volleyball 4x4».
Prize fund is 1000 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place – 400 euro
2 place – 300 euro
3 place – 200 euro
4 place – 100 euro
9.10. Competitions at the category «Children main tournament» (up to the 14 years old included).
Prize fund is 200 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place – 100 euro
2 place – 50 euro
3 place – 30 euro
4 place – 20 euro
9.11. Competitions at the category«Children tournament- Beach star» (up to the 14 years old included).
Prize fund is 100 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place – 100 euro
9.12. Competitions at the category«Queen of the beach».
Prize fund is 200 euro + memorable rewards.
1 place – 200 euro
9.13. Demonstrational competitions at the category «Show».
Prize fund is 1000 euro + memorable rewards.
9.14. The best players will be awarded with special prizes from the Organizer and sponsors of the tournament.
10.Medicine
10.1. Each participant is responsible for his own health.
11. Payment conditions
11.1. Entry fee are free of charge for children up to 14 years old.
11.2. Entry fees payment of the tournaments series "BOBRIKOV OPEN 2011" for 1 person is:
-men – 100 euro
-woman - 60 euro
Payment in rubles is at the rate of the Central Bank (on a day of payment) + 2%
